FLUORSPAR
The fluorspar business was started in 2019.
Over the years, Pakistan has been exporting more and more fluorspar mainly to the Far East, Middle East and Europe.
Hamsa specializes in natural high grade fluorspar ore only and exports small quantities to South Korea and China.
This business has remained relatively small due to the lower volumes available for the high grade ore.
The map below shows the principal areas where fluorspar mining takes place – mainly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
QUARTZ
The quartz business was started in 2022.
Whilst this business is mainly on a domestic level only, Hamsa has exported to South Korea where the end user is a manufacturer of ferro silicon.
There are large reserves of quartz in Pakistan. These include the full range of qualities from the lower grades (milky) to the very high grade (glass/crystal).
