QUARTZ
The quartz business was started in 2022.
Whilst this business is mainly on a domestic level only, HM has exported to South Korea where the end user is a manufacturer of ferro silicon.
There are large reserves of quartz in Pakistan. These include the full range of qualities from the lower grades (milky) to the very high grade (glass/crystal).
This map shows the principal areas where quartz mining takes place – mainly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
