Under Test & Trials

ROCK PHOSPHATE

In the past couple of years (from 2023), Pakistan has started exporting large quantities of rock phosphate mainly to 3 countries – China, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Hamsa has only recently (mid/late 2025) started export of rock phosphate, but only to China so far.

Whilst it is still in the trial stages, the potential is vast, both in terms of supply and demand internationally.

Hamsa is poised to take advantage of this situation by developing long term relationships with the miners, preparing a warehouse in Karachi for the purpose of storing and cleaning/sorting the material for export, and developing relations with customers in China.

Again, rock phosphate is found in abundance in Pakistan. The qualities vary from low grade to the very high grade.

This map shows the principal areas where rock phosphate mining takes place – mainly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

KAOLIN / CHINA CLAY

Recently Hamsa has started discussions with two Japanese customers for the export of kaolin.

Currently in the sampling stage, the initial results look promising.

The potential is very much there as kaolin is found in 3 out of the 5 provinces of Pakistan.

This map shows the principal areas where kaolin mining takes place – mainly in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Again, with the infrastructure and network in place, Hamsa hopes to start this business over the course of the next year or so.
